How to care for your handmade dog accessories
Taking care of your dog's gear is a breeze with these easy steps.
HOW TO WASH DOG BANDANAS & TIES:
-
Hand wash cold or machine wash gentle
-
Air dry or tumble dry low
-
Do not use bleach
-
Warm iron if needed, avoiding the rivets and snaps.
-
Fray bandanas: Hand wash or spot clean & lay flat to dry. Use a soft brush or comb to freshen up the fringe.
-
Bandanas, ties and bows can be machine washed & dried, but I highly recommend they be hand washed/spot treated and laid flat to dry to extend their lives.
** Remember to regularly inspect your Pet's items for signs of wear. Remove bandanas & ties when Pet is left unsupervised. Pets can be very curious and it is easy for them to get caught on something.
**Items can be damaged during rough play (torn or chewed). Shop is not responsible for any damage due to product misuse.
**Pet safety is our main concern, even in the name of fashion.
**Thank you for your understanding.
How to care for your handmade dog tags
Dog tags can withstand the elements, a little touch up will keep them looking new.
TO REFRESH THE INK ON DOG TAGS:
-
Polish/buff the tag with a piece of #0000 steel wool
-
Use a black sharpie to color in the design/name
-
Wipe the tag with a little rubbing alcohol to remove excess ink
-
Wipe the tag clean and voila!
HOW TO CLEAN DOG TAGS:
-
All tags can be washed with mild soap and water, dry thoroughly
-
Tags can be shined with some store bought Brass polish or ketchup (my fav is Mother's brand) This will make them sparkle!
-
Brass & Copper tags will patina over time, but if you clean/polish them regularly, they will stay shiny.
